Size guide
Size guide for children's & baby clothes
Our size guide below is for both children and babies - and should be seen as a 'general' guideline that allows for comparison and an indication of average sizes.
Below you will also find a small guide for measuring a child or baby.
Baby & children's clothing in size X: what age does it correspond to?
When you know your child's height, you can use our table, which with average measurements in cm, for example, shows that the height '110' corresponds to an age of 5 years.
If your child is between two sizes, we usually recommend choosing the larger size for longer use.

Tip:
Size and fit may vary slightly between products; knits, sweats, and basic bodysuits are often more elastic, while woven dresses and shirts have less stretch.
To make it super easy, we have therefore created a filter on the left in the clothing collections that, for all our clothing - and taking into account the above factors - matches your child's height with a given age.
How to measure your child or baby
It is easiest to measure the child when they are standing up. Or, if it is a baby, lying flat. Also, make sure the child is wearing tight-fitting clothing for more accuracy.
Use a soft measuring tape and measure close to the body:
A. Height
Measure the child's entire length from the top of the head to the heels while the child is standing upright.
B. Chest
Measure around the chest just below the armpits, with the arms hanging down at the side.
C. Waist
Measure around the waist where the child naturally bends to the side – the narrowest point.
D. Hip
Measure around the hip at the widest point above the butt.
E. Leg length
Measure from the crotch all the way down to the foot along the inside of the leg.
F. Sleeve length
Measure from the top of the shoulder down to the wrist, with arm slightly bent.
G. Head circumference
Measure around the head where it is widest (typically in the middle of the forehead and the back of the head).

FAQ for sizes in baby/children's clothing
How fast does a baby grow?
As a rule of thumb, babies grow quite quickly, especially in the first few months:
0–3 months: approximately 3.5 cm per month
3–6 months: about 2 cm per month
So yes, a baby can quickly grow out of clothes :-)
Many parents therefore choose to buy a slightly larger size so that the child can wear the clothes longer. However, note that this mostly applies to the outer layers such as pants, sweatshirts and blouses, as the inner layers should not be too loose.
What size does a newborn use?
Most newborns use size 50 or 56, depending on weight and length at birth.
However, since you can't know exactly in advance, it can be good to have both sizes available.
Should I always choose a larger size?
It depends on the type of clothing, as not everything should be too loose...
- Inner layers (like bodysuits and underwear) should fit snugly so that they don't gape at the neck or sit awkwardly over the diaper. However, if your child is between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a little extra room for movement and growth.
- Outer layers (like pants and sweatshirts) benefit from being a little extra large – with a little turn-up in the legs or sleeves.
